******* SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) Learned counsel for petitioners submits that brother of petitioner namely Davinder Pal is required by the police in case bearing FIR No. 20 dated 3.12.2015 registered at Police Station NRI Wing, Mohali for offence punishable under Section 420/120-B IPC. The petitioners are neither accused nor named in the FIR but are being harassed by the police by calling them to the police station to elucidate information about their brother. Representation (Annexure P3) to this effect was also made to the Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohali. Without expressing any opinion on merits of the allegations levelled in this petition, the same is disposed of with the direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohali to look into the grievances as put forth by learned counsel for petitioner and see as to whether the petitioners are being called to the police station and harassed despite the fact that they are not being required in the aforesaid FIR.

It is, however, made clear that nothing contained in this order shall be interpreted as any direction to the police to refrain from taking action against the petitioners in any proceedings pending or instituted against them. ( SURINDER GUPTA ) October 26, 2018.
