Prayer in this writ petition filed under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, is for issuance of a writ in the nature of certiorari, for quashing the impugned office order No.22 dated 11.02.2026 (Annexure P-1) passed by respondent No.3, vide which warning letter has been issued to the petitioner and for setting-aside the charge-sheet dated 06.03.2025 (Annexure P-2) as well as the subsequent charge-sheet dated 16.03.2026 (Annexure P-3) issued by respondent No.3. Further a writ of mandamus has been sought, directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion from the post of Assistant Lineman to the post of Lineman in view of letter dated 10.02.2026 (Annexure P-16) and to decide his representation dated NIL (Annexure P-17). At the outset, Mr. Bhanu Pratap Singh, Advocate, has filed the short reply by way of affidavit of Er. Surinder Pal Singh, Additional Superintending Engineer (O&M Division), Punjab State Power Corporation Limited, Tarn Tarn, along with the Power of Attorney, today in the Court which are taken on record. The Registry is directed to tag the same at appropriate place.

Learned counsel for respondents No.2 to 5 submits that the grievance raised by the petitioner has been substantially redressed and the impugned second charge-sheet dated 16.03.2026 (Annexure P-3) has been withdrawn on 27.04.2026 as discernible from Annexure R-1 and the petitioner has also been promoted as Lineman as is evident from the order dated 30.04.2026 (Annexure R-2).

In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition may be disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
