01 '      "    is praying for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to regularize the services of the petitioner from the due date and also to fix the salary of the petitioner in the regular pay-scale by granting him the benefit of judgment passed in CWP No.17003 of 2011 titled Rupinder Kaur and others Vs. State of Punjab and others, decided on 17.05.2017 (Annexure P-22).

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was appointed on 26.12.2012 on contract basis and her service was extended from time to time. He further submits that taking into consideration the length of service of the petitioner, she is entitled for regularization of her service.

Learned counsel for respondent No.1 has drawn attention of this Court to the written statement filed by him, wherein it has already been averred that 49th meeting of Board of Members was held on 18.01.2019 and the issue of regularization of employees was discussed and it was informed that the Government of Punjab was in the process of formulating a new policy for regularization and on the basis of that it was resolved to wait for such policy. It was also mentioned therein that as and when the new policy for regularization is announced by the Government of Punjab, the case of the petitioner would be considered.

In the light of the stand taken by respondent No.1 in the written statement, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition may be disposed of with liberty to file a representation before respondent No.1 for considering petitioner's case for regularization and that he will be satisfied, if a direction is given to respondent No.1 to decide such representation in a time-bound manner. 5.

Learned counsel for respondent No.1 does not oppose the prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner. 6.
