Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.06 dated 08.01.2016 under Sections 406/498A IPC registered at Police Station Phase 11, District Mohali. During the pendency of this petition, the matter has been amicably resolved between the parties. A compromise dated 24.03.2017 has been produced in Court today alongwith the affidavits of the petitioner as well as the complainant. The same are taken on record subject to just exceptions. CRM No.M-5354 of 2016 [2] The parties have decided to part ways.

Learned counsel for the complainant submits that in view of settlement arrived at between the parties, the complainant has no objection to the grant of concession of anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from HC Parvinder Singh, submits that the petitioner has joined investigation and he is not required for custodial interrogation. No recovery is to be effected from him. In view of the above but without commenting upon or expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed. Consequently, order dated 04.04.2017 is made absolute.
