This petition under Section 528 of 'the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023' has been field by the petitioner for quashing of FIR No.155 dated 24.08.2021, Police Station Division No.6, District Police Commissionerate Jalandhar, Punjab. The above-mentioned FIR has been lodged for the commission of offence punishable under Section(s) 406, 120B and 201 of 'the Indian Penal Code, 1860'. 2.
The main offence in this case is Section 406 of IPC which is compoundable. It has been informed by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the investigation in this case is already complete and the matter is fixed before the learned trial court.

Criminal Misc. No. M-20467 of 2026 held that the appropriate remedy available to the petitioner is to approach the learned trial court for compounding of offence. Hence, the present petition seeking for quashing of FIR, on the ground of compromise, is hereby disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the learned trial Court for compounding of offence.
