Mr. Bhupinder Gupta, Advocate for the respondent. *** ANIL KSHETARPAL, J (Oral) The hearing of the case was held through video conferencing on account of restricted functioning of the Courts. This is an application filed by the wife with a prayer to transfer the proceedings of the petition filed under Sections 7, 8, 25 and 26 of the Guardian and Wards Act, 1890, bearing No.GW/63/2021, titled as "Varun Puri vs. Ananya" pending in the Family Court-II, Jalandhar, to the Court of competent jurisdiction at Pathankot.
It is not in dispute that the petitioner along with her minor child is residing at Pathankot. The respondent is already defending the proceedings in a petition filed under Section 13-B of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, at Pathankot.
The learned counsel representing the respondent admits that as per the provisions of the Guardian and Wards Act, 1890, the petition under it can be filed at a place where the minor child resides.

The transferor Court is requested to remit the case file to the transferee Court forthwith.
The parties through their counsel are directed to appear before the transferee Court on 03.11.2021.
All the pending miscellaneous applications, if any, are also disposed of.
