Present writ petition has been filed under Articles 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the official respondents to conduct proper demarcation of the common land meant for Chappar (Pond) for construction of Waste Stablization Pond (WSP) situated in Hadbast No.122, Village Killianwali, Tehsil Khuian Sarwar, District Fazilka.

Learned State counsel at the outset, on instructions from Sh. Harjinder Singh, DDPO and Sh. Maninder Singh, Tehsildar, submits that the Block Development and Panchayat Officer, Fazilka vide memo dated 13.04.2026 has already communicated to the Naib Tehsildar, Khuian Sarwar to carry out the necessary demarcation. Learned State counsel further submits that the demarcation would be done within a period of six weeks from today.
