CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE GURVINDER SINGH GILL Present:- Mr. Mahesh Gupta, Advocate for the petitioners. (the aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in Virtual Court) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The learned counsel for the petitioner contends that he was issued a passport in the year 2018 but somehow his date of birth has been incorrectly recorded as '17.2.1958' instead of '12.11.1949'. The learned counsel has submitted that his correct date of birth has been duly recorded in his Aadhar Card (Annexure P-2) and in his PAN Card (Annexure P-3) and that in case his date of birth is taken as 17.2.1958, then the difference between his age and of his son would be barely 8 years, which is absolutely impossible.
The learned counsel for the petitioner has further submitted that although he had made applications (Annexures P-5 and P-6) for correction of date of birth in the passport to the passport authority, but the same have remained undecided.
