The petitioner seeks the concession of regular bail in a case registered at the instance of ASI Satyawan Singh alleging that a secret information has been received that Satish and Pawan, in collusion with touts have obtained arms licences from Nagaland fraudulently on the basis of fake documents and on the basis of said licences, they have purchased illegal weapons, which could be used in Panchayat elections. During the course of investigation, on the basis of disclosure statement of Satish, the petitioner has been involved in the case. As per ASI Satyawan Singh, no application for police remand was filed. In view of the said circumstances, it appears that keeping the petitioner in custody will not serve any purpose, especially when no incriminating material having been recovered from the petitioner till date. The Petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bond and surety bond to the satisfaction of CJM, Jind.
