The grievance of the petitioner was that despite registration of FIR No.52 dated 25.05.2017 under Sections 376D/506 IPC and Section 6 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, Police Station Nuh/Mewat, Haryana, no action was taken by the police authorities. Reply by way of affidavit of Mr. Sanjeev Balhara, HPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ferozepur Jhirka on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4, filed in Court today, with a copy thereof to learned counsel for the petitioner is taken on record subject to just exceptions.

Learned counsel for the State submits that on investigation the allegations in the abovesaid FIR were found incorrect and unsubstantiated by Omkar Singh 2018.02.27 15:48 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRM No.M-46855 of 2017 -2any evidence. Therefore, a cancellation report was prepared on 01.12.2017 and the same has been presented before the court of competent jurisdiction on 09.02.2018 (it is pointed out that due to an inadvertent mistake, the date mentioned in the reply is 09.02.2017 instead of 09.02.2018). Keeping in view the facts as above, no further direction is called for in this case.

Needless to say, the petitioner is at liberty to avail the remedy/remedies as may be available to him in respect to any grievance/s he may have including the remedy to challenge the presentation of the cancellation report in this case.

Petition is accordingly disposed of.
