CORAM:HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE JAISHREE THAKUR

Present:

Mr. R.S. Bangar, Advocate for the petitioner.

Mr. Tapan Kumar Yadav, DAG, Haryana.

-.- JAISHREE THAKUR J. (ORAL) The petitioner herein is aggrieved against the show cause notice dated 22.06.2018 and against non-renewal of his arms licence. Counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner had been issued an arms licence No.4778/DM/SNP/2009 dated 14.01.2009 from the office of District Magistrate, Sonepat for NPB revolver/pistol double barrel .12 bore for the purpose of self-protection. The petitioner applied for renewal of the said licence and instead of renewing the same, show cause notice dated 22.06.2018 was issued on the ground that the petitioner is involved in FIR No.543 dated 01.09.2007 under Sections 420, 407, 468, 471, 120-B IPC registered at Police Station City Panipat, District Panipat. It is contended that basis of issuing the show cause notice does not survive as the petitioner stands acquitted by the Court of Ld. JMIC, Panipat vide judgment dated 05.02.2016, which was brought to the notice of the respondents in reply to the show cause notice. It is submitted that despite the reply, the licence is not being renewed.
