Petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for issuance of directions to respondents No. 2 and 3 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of respondents No. 4 to 7.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that marriage of the petitioners was solemnized on 23.2.2015. Certificate (Annexure P-3) in this regard has been issued by Gurudwara Akalgarh Sahib, Village Karor Kalan, Tehsil and District Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar (Mohali). Photographs of marriage ceremony are annexed as Annexure P-4. He has further submitted that the petitioners have moved a representation to Senior Superintendent of Police, Rupnagar (Ropar)-respondent No. 2 (Annexure P-5) but no action has been taken so far.
