On 19.08.2020, the following order was passed by this Court: "Hearing of the case was held through video conferencing on account of restricted functioning of the Courts. The petitioner prays for grant of pre-arrest bail in a criminal case arising from FIR No.05, dated 10.07.2020, registered under Section 306/201/120-B IPC, at Police Station NRI Ferozepur, District Ferozepur.

In a nutshell, the case of the prosecution is that late Sh. Rajbir Singh had died due to poisoning on 14.03.2019 and his widow, who at the relevant time was residing abroad, had registered the present FIR alleging that the petitioners have abetted the suicide of her husband. The petitioners are married sisters of late Sh. Rajbir Singh.

Criminal Misc. No. M- 23327 of 2020 The petitioners relies upon an order dated 11.08.2020, Annexure P-6, passed by this Court in CRM-M22313 of 2020 (Salwinder Singh and another vs State of Punjab).

Notice of motion for 18.09.2020.

On the request of this court, Mr. Dhruv Dayal, Sr. DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State. In the meantime, in the event of arrest, the petitioners shall be released on interim bail subject to furnishing personal bonds and surety to the satisfaction of Arresting/Investigating Officer. However, the petitioners shall join the investigation as and when called upon to do so and shall abide by the conditions as provided under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

To be heard along with CRM-M-22313-2020".

Mr. Dhruv Dyal, Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, on the instructions from Assistant Sub Inspector Narinder Kaur, has submitted that the petitioners have joined investigation, co-operated and not required for further custodial interrogation.

In view of the aforesaid facts, the present petition is allowed and interim pre-arrest bail granted to the petitioners by this Court on 19.08.2020 is made absolute.
