Mr. Himmat Singh Deol, Advocate for the petitioners. Mr. Pallavi Babbar, Advocate for the respondent. JASJIT SINGH BEDI, J. (Oral) The petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of the Criminal Complaint No.272 dated 12.08.2016 (Annexure P-10) as well as summoning order dated 12.04.2018 under Sections 406, 420, 34 IPC (Annexure P-13) and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom.

Though this petition has been filed on merits but during its pendency a compromise has been arrived at, the terms of which were recorded in order dated 20.10.2023. The said order is reproduced herein below :- "The parties have arrived at a settlement for an amount of Rs.14,00,000/- which would be a full and final settlement of all claims between the parties. In furtherance of the said settlement, a demand draft of RS.5,00,000/- has been handed over to the complainant, namely, Balwinder Kaur in the Court today. The remaining payment shall be paid within a period of 08 weeks from today.

List again on 11.12.2023.

In terms of the aforementioned order, a further amount of Rs.9,00,000/- (Rs.Nine lacs) has been paid today by way of DD No.734893. (Mark 'A') Thereafter, a formal compromise dated 11.12.2023 has been arrived at between the parties, which is placed on record of the file of the present case. (Mark 'B').

In view of the settlement arrived at between the parties, the complaint dated 12.08.2016 Annexure (P-10), the summoning order dated 12.04.2018 (Annexure P-13) and all the subsequent proceedings arising therefrom stand quashed. .
