*** SURINDER GUPTA, J Petitioner has sought direction to respondents no.1 and 2 to take appropriate action against respondents no.3 to 5 in case bearing FIR No. 45 dated 18.5.2018 registered at Police Station Dhariwal, District Gurdaspur for offence punishable under Sections 380/406/409 of IPC. Learned State counsel submits that police after completion of investigation has presented cancellation report which has been accepted by the trial court vide order dated 1.2.2019. After acceptance of report, the petitioner can avail the other legal remedy available to him and no direction to the police can be issued as sought by the petitioner in this case. As per submissions of learned State counsel, the police after completion of investigation has found no substance in the allegations levelled in the FIR and has filed cancellation report, which has been accepted by the trial court.

In view of the above, the instant petition has been rendered infructuous and is disposed of as such with liberty to the petitioner to avail any other legal remedy available to him.
