The present petition has been filed by the petitioners under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India, seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to review/recall the posting orders dated 24.09.2024, 21.10.2024 & 02.12.2024 (Annexures P-2 to P-4) of the petitioners and to grant them opportunity to opt for new/nearby stations subject to available vacancies as of today as given to all the prior and subsequent batches except the batch of the petitioners.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for redressal of their grievances, the petitioners have also submitted representations dated 30.03.2026, 16.03.2026 & 01.04.2026 (Annexures P-10 to P-12, respectively) to the respondents which is still pending consideration. He further submits that at this stage, the petitioners would be satisfied, if appropriate directions are issued to the respondents to consider and decide the said representations, by passing a speaking order, in a time bound manner.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without going into the merits of the case at this stage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to consider and decide representations dated 30.03.2026, 16.03.2026 & 01.04.2026 (Annexures P-10 to P-12, respectively) submitted by the petitioners expeditiously, by passing a speaking order after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioners, preferably within a period of 06 weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
