**** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.50 dated 12.09.2013, under Sections 498-A and 406 IPC, registered at Police Station Mahila Police Bathinda, District Bathinda. In the present case notice of motion was issued on 04.03.2015 only to the limited extent of exploring the possibility of settlement. Thereafter, vide order dated 07.12.2015, the matter was referred to the Mediation Centre of this Court to enable the parties to resolve the dispute. As per report dated 18.03.2016 of the Mediator, in the absence of the petitioner no effective mediation carried out. Keeping in view the above-said report and the fact that the notice of motion has been issued only to the limited extent, no ground for quashing of FIR is made out and the present petition filed by the petitioner is accordingly hereby dismissed.
