(the aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in Virtual Court) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioner seeks revision of his pension as well as retiral benefits on the ground that his pay is required to refixed and NPA to the extent of 25% of his basic pay is to be added and the pension as well as retiral benefits are to be fixed accordingly. The learned counsel for the petitioner relies upon a judgment of this Court rendered on 24.5.2017 in CWP-28518 of 2013 titled Dr. Baldev Raj Bhandari and others Versus State of Punjab and others. It has been submitted that although the petitioner had submitted a representation dated 22.11.2019 (Annexure P-4) to Accountant General, Punjab, Sector-17, Punjab and had also served a legal notice dated 12.1.2020 (Annexure P-5) to respondent Nos.1 and 2, but no action has been taken thereupon. ( 2 ) CWP-12052-2020 (O&M) Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards merits of the case, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondents No.1 and 2 to consider the legal notice dated 12.1.2020 (Annexure P-5) and to dispose of the same in accordance with law. A decision in this regard be taken expeditiously preferably within a period of 3 months from today. In case, anything is found due to be paid to the petitioner, the same be paid within a period of one month therafter. The complete details of the dues be also furnished to the petitioner.

A copy of this order alongwith copy of legal notice dated 12.1.2020 (Annexure P-5) be sent to respondents No.1 and 2 so as to enable them to do the needful expeditiously.
