CRM-M-7169 of 2015 Date of Decision: July 27, 2015 Kewal Singh ....Petitioner
Versus
State of Punjab and others .....Respondents
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE RAJAN GUPTA
Present:
Mr. Onkar Rai, Advocate, for the petitioner.
Mr.Shilesh Gupta, Addl.A.G, Pb.
Mr.Gurpal Singh Sandhu, Advocate for respondent Nos. 5 & 7.
Rajan Gupta, J (Oral) Petitioner has sought a direction to respondent No.3 to examine his complaint dated 21.1.2015 (Annexure P/6). According to him, registration number of the vehicle involved in the accident was changed by the police.
Learned State counsel at the outset submits that the matter has been looked into by the concerned Senior Superintendent of Police (Rural), Ludhiana. It has been found that vehicle which was involved in the accident, is the same as it bears the same chasis and engine numbers. However, number was wrongly painted by the painter. According to which, offences under Sections 465, 471 IPC have also been added and supplementary challan is likely to be submitted shortly. Besides, action has already been initiated against ASI-Jagga Singh for carrying out casual investigation in the matter.
In view of stand taken by the learned State counsel, it appears that grievance of the petitioner has been redressed. No further direction from this court is necessary.
Disposed of.
