NIRMALJIT KAUR, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ, order or direction for directing the respondents to grant the pay scale of Rs.2000-3500/- with effect from 01.01.1986 instead of Rs.1800-3200 and a revision in pay scale of Rs.22004000/- with effect from 01.01.1991 to the petitioners in order to maintain parity with the employees of identical posts working in various other departments of the State of Punjab such as Soil Conservation Department/ Agriculture Department and also, as per the judgment dated 02.07.2014 passed by this Hon'ble Court in CWP No.2605 of 1998, titled as Er.R.K.Aggarwal & Ors. Vs State of Punjab & Ors, which has been upheld vide judgment dated 29.07.2019 in LPA No.1991 of 2014 titled as State of Punjab & Ors. Vs Er.R.K.
Aggarwal & Ors. It is further prayed that writ/order/ direction in the nature of mandamus be issued directing the respondents to grant the proficiency set-up of Rs.3000-4500/- after 8 years MEENU 2020.08.
CWP-12576-2020 -2of service and second proficiency set-up after completion of 18 years of service in the pay scale of Rs.3700-5300/- to the petitioners, in order to keep parity with identically situated employees of State of Punjab. Notice of motion.

It is stated that the petitioners made various representations but till date, nothing has been done nor the petitioners heard any reply. In view of the above, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the authorities to decide the representation, dated 20.12.2019, Anenxure P-5, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order by way of a speaking order. However, if the order is otherwise, the petitioners are at liberty to challenge the same in accordance with law. August 24, 2020 ( NIRMALJIT KAUR ) meenuss JUDGE 1.
