This is a second petition for pre-arrest bail in a case registered against the petitioner vide FIR No. 54 dated 26.03.2009 registered under section 24 of the Immigration Act at police station Sector 31, Chandigarh.

Learned counsel appearing for the U.T. Chandigarh at the outset submits that petitioner is a proclaimed offender. In view of stand taken by the State, this court is not inclined to accept the prayer for pre-arrest bail. Dismissed. It is, however, directed that in case petitioner surrenders before the trial court within ten days from today and moves an application for bail, same shall be decided within a week thereafter.
