Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 439 Cr.P.C. for grant of regular bail in case FIR No.108 dated 18.09.2014 under Sections 452, 324, 323, 427, 506, 148 and 149 IPC (Sections 325 and 326 IPC added later on), registered at Police Station Chohla Sahib, District Tarn Taran. Notice of motion was issued. Learned State counsel appeared and contested the petition.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as learned State counsel and have gone through the record. The perusal of the record shows that present petitioner is named in the FIR and injuries under Section 325 and 323 IPC have been attributed VINEET GULATI 2019.09.10 16:10 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh to him.

CRM No.M-22276 of 2019 -2Learned State counsel has brought it to the notice of this Court that petitioner remained proclaimed offender in this case. The petitioner has been in custody since 27.02.2019. He is not required for any investigation or interrogation purposes as he is in judicial custody. The trial of the case will take long time. No useful purpose will be served by keeping the petitioner in custody till the disposal of the case. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case and without discussing the facts in minute detail and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the present petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail subject to his furnishing personal/surety bonds in the sum of `50,000/- with two sureties in the like amount each to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
