(Oral) By way of present petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C., the petitioner prays for issuance of directions to the official respondents, so as to conduct a fair and impartial investigation in case bearing FIR No.170 dated 08.11.2020, under Sections 307, 452, 380, 427, 148, 149 IPC and Section 25 of the Arms Act, registered at Police Station Rangar Nangal, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur.

On 23.07.2021, this Court passed the following order:- "Notice of motion.

Mr. Joginder Pal Ratra, DAG, Punjab who is present in the Court accepts notice on behalf of the respondent - State and seeks some time to file reply. List again on 03.02.2022.

In the meantime, reply, if any, be filed in the Registry with copy in advance to counsel opposite." In response, the respondent-State has filed a short reply by way of affidavit of Mr. Gurinderbir Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub SONIKA 2023.02.08 17:39 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-28642-2021 --2-- Division Sri Hargobindpur, Police District Batala on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 and submits that the investigation in the present case already stands concluded and the final report shall be presented before the concerned court within a period of six weeks from today. In view thereof, nothing substantial survives to be adjudicated upon in the present case, at this stage, as such, the same is disposed of as having been rendered infructuous.
