(the aforesaid presence is being recorded through video conferencing since the proceedings are being conducted in Virtual Court) ***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J.(Oral) The petitioners, who claim to be in a 'live-in' relationship, apprehend threat to their lives at the hands of respondents No.4 to 10. The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that petitioner No.1-Charanjit Kaur is married to respondent No.4-Jaswant Singh, who has shunted out petitioner No.1 from her matrimonial home. The learned counsel has further submitted that petitioner No.2-Joga Singh was married earlier but his wife expired in the year 2004.

Without commenting anything on the veracity of averments made in the petition or the sanctity and validity of alleged relationship of the petitioners, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, District Sangrur to ensure that in case any representation is filed by the petitioners seeking protection, the PANKAJ KAKKAR 2020.08.

( 2 ) CRWP-6108-2020 (O&M) same is got examined in accordance with law and needful is done as warranted under law.

It is, however, clarified that this order shall not be treated to confer any immunity upon the petitioners in case it is found that they have committed any wrong.
