The prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to release full pension, gratuity, commutation, leave encashment and other pensionary benefits including the services rendered by the petitioners.

Learned counsel seeking benefit of past service and thereafter release of full pension, gratuity, commutation, leave encashment of the petitioners, who were working in SPINFED, which was bound up. Thereafter, they were appointed in the District Consumer Dispute Redressal Forums and their services were relieved by the Commission, which was challenged by them by filing CWP-5855-2024, wherein interim order was granted and the same now stands disposed of vide judgment dated 01.08.2023, Annexure P-16, by making the interim order as absolute, noticing the fact that the petitioners have since attained the age of superannuation. In this regard, representations dated 14.08.2023, 10.08.2023 and 28.02.2024, Annexures P-17 to P-19, have been submitted by them, which have yet not evoked any response. He thus, at this stage, on HAMANT 2024.05.21 10:24 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment
CWP-11846-2024 instructions, submits that the petitioners are sanguine of it being considered in a positive manner, in case, a direction is given to the respondents to decide the same in a time bound manner by granting them an opportunity of hearing, keeping in view the aforesaid judgment. 3.

At the asking of the Court, Mr. Arun Gupta, DAG, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and has no objection to the limited prayer made.

In view of the above and without commenting upon the merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the representations dated 14.08.2023, 10.08.2023 and 28.02.2024, Annexures P-17 to P-19 within a period of six months, which this Court has no reason to believe the authorities would not address in a just, fair and reasonable manner. Upon doing so, after notice and hearing offered to them and if found entitled, grant the benefit forthwith. Needless to say, if the orders are adverse to their interest, the same shall contain reasons and the petitioners shall be free to seek legal redress thereupon.
