The petitioner prays for issuance of an appropriate writ to direct the respondents to consider his claim for promotion to the post of Senior Pharmacist Officer with effect from the date his juniors were promoted. He claims to fall in the Orthopaedically Handicapped Category. On account of bifurcation and categorization of the specialized branches, the employees have been allocated in accordance with their options. 2.

The petitioner has already sent a notice dated 20.01.2022 to the Directorate of Health and Family Welfare, Punjab, Parivar Kalyan Bhawan, Sector 34, Chandigarh.

After having heard the learned counsel representing the petitioner at some length, this Court is of the considered opinion that at the first instance, the Director (respondent No.3) is directed to consider the DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2023.01.17 10:58 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document petitioner's claim, in accordance with law, within a period of two months,

Civil Writ Petition No. 15074 of 2022 positively, from today after granting an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner. It is expected that a speaking order shall be passed while deciding the petitioner's claim.

With the observations made above, the present writ petition is disposed of.
