(Oral) This petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India has been filed for seeking a direction to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of the private respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that petitioner No.1 is a minor who has been subjected to persistent threats, coercion and physical assault at the hands of her parents and relatives, who are compelling her to marry a person of their choice. He contends that petitioner No.1 is unwilling to enter into such marriage. In view of the assault and harassment meted out to her at her parental home, she was constrained to run away and presently both the petitioners are running from place to place to save their lives.

It is un-controverted that the petitioner No.1 is a juvenile in need of care and protection and that there are issues concerning the safety and security, however, considering that the petitioner No.2 is not a guardian appointed by law, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioners contends that he would be satisfied in case directions in terms of judgment passed in the matter of P...... In view of the same, the present petition is disposed of with directions as contained in the judgment of P......
