ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners and not to interfere in their peaceful married life. On 01.11.2018, a settlement/agreement was arrived at between the parties before the Mediator and the Senior Superintendent of Police was asked to look into the grivance of the petitioners. Reply by way of affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub-Division Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 filed in the Court is taken on record and as per the reply, the father of petitioner No.1 has recorded a statement that he will not interfere in the married life of both the petitioners, in any manner. It is further stated that petitioner No.1 has made a statement that she is residing happily with her husband and has no complaint from her in-laws and a meeting was arranged between petitioner No.1 and respondents No.4 and other family members.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed of. In case the petitioners approached the police authorities regarding the representation (Annexure P4), necessary action will be taken, in accordance with law.
