The petitioners through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India are seeking direction to respondents to count the service rendered as Special Police Officer as qualifying service for the purpose of pensionary/retiral benefits. 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners, inter alia, contends that case of the petitioners is squarely covered by the judgment of this Court in Sukhjit Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others in CWP No.9936 of 2017.
