(ORAL) In this writ petition, the petitioner is aggrieved of inaction on behalf of the respondent in not deciding the enquiry arising out of a complaint made by one Iqbal Singh son of Jagat Singh in the context of ineligibility of the petitioner in availing the benefit of stage carriage permit.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the permit No.14/SC/NSR/2021 was granted in favour of father of the petitioner. The father of the petitioner died on 16.10.2020. Thereafter the petitioner after completing all the necessary formalities applied for renewal of the aforesaid permit. The petitioner is only eligible legal heir of his father for transfer of the POONAM BHATT 2023.05.16 17:09 I attest the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

2023:PHHC:070916 CWP No.10522 of 2023 -2permit along with bus No.PB 13L 9982. One Iqbal Singh filed a complaint in respect of alleged submission of false document by the petitioner for renewal of permit. The petitioner was summoned by the respondent on 07.07.2021 but till date the enquiry in question has not been completed and no decision has been taken in respect of transfer of the permit granted to the father of the petitioner.

Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr. Sanjeev Soni, Addl. A.G., Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent and on instructions submits that the pending enquiry before the respondent shall be concluded within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. In case the allegations of Iqbal Singh son of Jagat Singh are found to be untrue, then necessary order shall be passed in accordance with law.
