**** JAGMOHAN BANSAL , J. (Oral) The petitioner through instant petition is seeking protection of life and liberty from the hands of private respondents. Status report dated 11.09.2022 by way of affidavit of Maninder Pal Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Kapurthala, District Kapurthala, is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at appropriate place.

Learned State counsel pointing out status report submits that the petitioner has lodged 03 complaints. FIR No.218 dated 26.08.2017 registered on the complaint of the petitioner stands cancelled. FIR No.272 dated 19.10.2018 registered under Sections 323/354-B/506/148 of IPC is still under investigation. FIR No.272 dated 20.10.2018 was registered against persons other than respondents herein. On being confronted with the aforesaid facts, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that security provided to petitioner may be continued till threat perception subsists.

Learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Ishru Pradad, submits that jurisdictional police authority would ensure the protection of life and liberty of the petitioner. As and when there is complaint, proper security shall be provided to him.

In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, no further order is warranted and the petitioner is at liberty to avail remedies as permissible by law as and when in future there is threat perception. Disposed of.
