BEDI, J (ORAL) Petitioner seeks concession of pre-arrest bail in case registered on the basis of secret information that the petitioner along with other co-accused Jagjit Singh was indulging in theft of motor vehicle. Jagjit Singh along with vehicle was arrested whereas the petitioner riding pillion allegedly escaped from the spot. Pursuant to the interim order, the petitioner was required to join investigation. A controversy was raised on 9.5.2014 regarding the petitioner having joined investigation. The matter was again adjourned extending the interim protection to the petitioner. ` Petition is allowed. It is ordered that in case of arrest of the petitioner he will be released on bail to the satisfaction of the arresting officer subject to the conditions that he will not commit the similar offence of which he is accused of. He will not absent himself without any sufficient cause during the course of trial and will not tamper with the evidence.
