There was alleged recovery of 250 grams of opium which is non commercial in nature.

Petitioner was enlarged on bail, however, due to his absence on 17.11.2015 his bail bonds were cancelled and NBWs of his arrest were issued.

It was submitted that since the petitioner has been nominated as an accused in another FIR No.127 dated 16.11.2015 RAJINDER PRASHAD JOSHI 2016.04.02 15:02 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court, Chandigarh.

CRM-M 6698/2016 under Section 18 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act,1985,PS Mamdot,Distt.Ferozepur, he could not come present on the date nor could intimate his counsel for seeking exemption. Vide order dated 25.2.2016 while issuing notice of motion, petitioner, on surrendering before the trial court within 10 days, was directed to be released on interim bail.

At the time of hearing,learned counsel submits that pursuant to the said order petitioner has surrendered before the trial court and was released on interim bail.

The said factual position is not disputed by the learned State counsel.

In view of the above, interim bail granted by the trial court pursuant to the order dated 25.2.2016 passed by this court, is made absolute.

Disposed of.
