***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail to the petitioner in a case FIR No.118 dated 09.08.2016 under Sections 326/323/324/341/506/148/149 IPC registered at Police Station Beas, Amritsar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is incarcerated since 10.08.2017. He is attributed an injury on non-vital part of the complainant.

Admittedly, charges have been framed and trial is in progress. Learned State counsel has opposed the prayer for bail. Heard.

Keeping in view the period of his incarceration and the fact that trial may take long time to conclude, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner during pendency of the trial, I deem it appropriate to grant regular bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be enlarged on bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Amritsar.
