(Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail to the petitioner in a case FIR No.53 dated 01.04.2017 under Section 420 IPC registered at Police Station Kurali, District Mohali, Punjab. It is contended that petitioner is incarcerated since 14.10.2017. Case is triable by Magistrate.

Keeping in view the period of his incarceration and the fact that the case is triable by Magistrate, trial may take long time to conclude, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner during pendency of the trial, I deem it appropriate to grant regular bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be enlarged on bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Mohali.
