1. The petitioners have approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to the official respondents to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 6 who hold a grudge against them on account of the matrimonial discord between Nirmal Singh respondent no.4 and daughter of the petitioners.

2. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without commenting anything as regards the merits of the assertions made in the petition, the instant petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioners to file a detailed representation to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of MOHAN SINGH 2023.05.16 15:54 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this order/judgment

CRWP-4700-2023 (O&M) ( 2 ) 2023:PHHC:070439 Police Moga, delineating therein all the circumstances which led to their alleged threat perception. Upon receipt of such representation which may be filed within two weeks from today, respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga, shall get the same examined in accordance with law. In case, it is found that there is genuine threat to life and liberty of the petitioners, then necessary steps warranted under law be taken thereupon.

3. A copy of this order be sent to respondent No.3-Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga, for necessary compliance.
