(Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail to the petitioner in a case FIR No.191 dated 11.04.2017, under Sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 384, 506 and 120-B IPC (Section 409 IPC and Section 4 of Prevention of Money Laundering Ac, 2002 added later on) registered at Gharaunda, District Karnal.
Petitioner seeks bail on parity with his brother Satish, who was granted concession of bail vide order dated November 21, 2017. Learned counsel submits that petitioner is incarcerated since 31.10.2017. Case is triable by Magistrate.
Admittedly, investigation is complete and trial is in progress. Heard.
Keeping in view the period of incarceration of the petitioner, the fact that the offence is triable by Magistrate and trial may take long time to conclude, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioner any longer.
