State of Punjab and others .............Respondent CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr.Pankaj Maini,Advocate for the petitioner Mr.Kirat Singh Sidhu,DAG Punjab with ASI Paramjit Singh Jaswant Singh,J.(Oral) Prayer is for grant of anticipatory bail during trial in case FIR No.6 dated 18.1.2012 under Sections 353, 186,120-B IPC, PS Phase 8, SAS Nagar, as for the solitary absence of the petitioner on 8.12.2015, his bail bonds were cancelled and non-bailable warrants issued.

Although from the impugned order it appears that petitioner alongwith his co-accused Ishwar Chand were obstructing the proceedings, however, in order to facilitate smooth conduct of the trial, a lenient view is taken and petitioner is directed to put in appearance before the trial court.

Vide order 26.2.2016 notice of motion was issued for today RAJINDER PRASHAD JOSHI 2016.03.21 16:47 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court, Chandigarh.

CRM-M 6881/2016 and it was directed that in the event of petitioner surrendering before the trial court within 7 days,he shall be released on interim bail by the trial court to its satisfaction. Subsequently, on an application for correction of Section 353 IPC instead of 153 IPC,vide order dated 15.3.2016 the petitioner was permitted to surrender before the trial court on or before the next date, in which eventuality he was ordered to be released on interim bail.

At the time of hearing today,learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the order dated 15.3.2016, petitioner surrendered before the trial Court on 18.3.2016 and was released on interim bail.

The said factual position is not disputed by the learned State counsel.

In view of the above, interim bail granted to the petitioner by the trial court pursuant to the orders dated 26.2.2016 and 15.3.2016 passed by this Court, is made absolute.

Disposed of.
