(ORAL) Case is taken up for hearing through video conferencing. Through this petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.127 dated 05.07.2021, registered at Police Station Talwandi Sabo, District Bathinda, under Sections 61 and 78 of the Punjab Excise Act, 1914.

Vide order dated 27.07.2021 passed by this Court, the petitioner was granted ad interim pre-arrest bail and had been directed to join investigation.

On 29.10.2021, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Learned State counsel, on the instructions from SI Renu, submitted that the petitioner had not joined investigation.

Today also, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Learned State counsel, on the instructions from ASI Krishan Singh, submitted that the petitioner had again not joined investigation. AMAN JAIN 2021.12.22 15:34 I attest to the accuracy of this order

CRM-M-29189-2021 (O&M) -2Perusal of the record would show that despite availing numerous opportunities, the petitioner has not bothered to comply with the orders passed by this Court.

The petitioner has been enjoying interim protection since 27.07.2021. He cannot be allowed to avail the interim protection, for such a long period, at the costs of violations of the conditions laid therein. Therefore, the petitioner is no longer entitled to the interim protection.
