(ORAL) Learned State counsel upon instructions from Sarabjit Singh, Senior Assistant O/o Food and Drug Administration, Punjab submits that during pendency of the writ petition, one candidate namely Gurjot Kaur at Sr. No.10 did not join the post offered to her and therefore the petitioner's candidature would be considered qua the same upon his approaching the concerned respondent.

In view of the aforesaid statement, the petitioner may approach the respondent No.3, who shall proceed to do the needful as per the merit of the petitioner within a period of 30 days thereafter. However, the petitioner shall not be entitled to any compensation/salary for the period he was not offered appointment on the ground of no work no pay.
