Both the present petitions have been filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for quashing of FIR No.50 dated 24.03.2020, under Sections 307, 498-A read with Section 120-B IPC, 1860, registered at Police Station Mohkampura, Police Commissionerate, District Amritsar (Annexure P-13) and all subsequent proceedings arising therefrom as well as the challan dated 26.07.2020 (Annexure P-17). 2.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submit that the parties have effected a compromise, as such, respondent No.2-Rajwant Kaur is residing SIMRANDEEP KAUR 2024.11.27 13:17 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRM-M-23940-2020 (O&M) and CRM-M-34459-2020 (O&M)  along with her husband-Manpreet Singh, who is a family member of the petitioners. It has been further informed that cancellation report has already been presented before the trial Court.

Learned State counsel, while referring to the short reply dated 13.12.2020, filed in CRM-M-34459-2020, on behalf of respondent-State, has informed that detailed investigation report was submitted to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar on 02.11.2020, whereby, recommendation had been made for cancellation of the present FIR No.50 dated 24.03.2020, under Sections 307, 498-A read with Section 120-B IPC (Sections 328, 201 IPC added later on), registered at Police Station Mohkampura, Amritsar. 3.1 Learned State counsel further submits that the cancellation report has already been presented before the trial Court. 4.

In view of the above, both the present petitions are disposed of with the direction that the trial Court may proceed with the cancellation report expeditiously (preferably within a period of 02 months), as per law. 5.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand disposed of.
