Through this writ petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India prayer has been made for issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to pay arrears of Leave Travel Concession to the petitioners in view of judgment of this Court dated 26.02.2019 rendered in CWP No.2479 of 2016, along with interest @ 9% per annum on account of delay in payment.

Learned counsel for the petitioners referring to judgments of this Court dated 26.02.2019, 20.07.2020 and 28.07.2020 passed in CWP Nos.2479 of 2016, 10049 of 2020 and 10716 of 2020, respectively, contends that the purpose would be achieved if respondent No.2 - Registrar, Punjab University, Patiala, is directed to look into legal notice (Annexure PRAVINDER SINGH 2020.08.20 14:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the paper-book, but without commenting on merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - Registrar, Punjab University, Patiala, to look into legal notice (Annexure P5) and decide the same within a period of two months from today by passing a speaking order.
