Gurmeet Kaur And ORS v. State Of Punjab And ORS
In the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, at Chandigarh Criminal Misc. No. M-48379 of 2017 Date of Decision: 19.12.2017 Gurmeet Kaur and Others ... Petitioner(s)
Versus
State of Punjab and Others ... Respondent(s) CORAM: Hon'ble Mr. Justice Shekher Dhawan.
Present:
Mr. Digvijay Nagpal, Advocate for the petitioner(s).
Shekher Dhawan, J.
Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been preferred by the petitioner seeking directions to respondent(s) No. 3 & 4 and other police officials not to harass and maltreat the petitioners by raiding their house in odd hours and not to detain them illegally. Learned counsel for the petitioners contended that by now there is no FIR registered against the present petitioners, rather FIR is against son of petitioners No.1 & 2 and the police authorities are harassing them without any reason.
Learned counsel further contended that application/representation dated 13.12.2017 (Annexure P2) made to the police authorities to this effect remained unattended. Having considered the submissions made by learned counsel for the petitioners and perusal of record, respondent No.2-Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, is directed to look into the application/representation dated 13.12.2017 (Annexure P2) and take required action, if any, as per law.
