ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of directions to respondents No.2 and 3 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of private respondents and to conduct fair and impartial investigation in FIR No.24 dated 22.02.2017 registered under Sections 323, 324, 336, 341, 308 IPC and 25, 27 of the Arms Act, at Police Station Majitha, District Amritsar.

Counsel for the State has filed the status report by way of affidavit of the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sub Division Majitha, District Amritsar (Rural), regarding the status of the investigation in the aforesaid FIR.

As per the affidavit, challan in the main FIR No.24 as well as in the cross DDR No.20 has already been submitted before the Illaqa Magistrate on 28.04.2019 and 06.07.2019.

In view of the above, counsel for the petitioner submits that this petition may be disposed of having been rendered infructuous. Ordered accordingly. However, liberty is granted to the parties to approach the trial Court for redressal of their grievances, if any.
