(ORAL) The petitioner herein seeks the relief of issuance of a direction to the official respondents to arrest respondents No.5 to 7 and to submit the status-report qua the criminal case arising out of the FIR bearing No.84 dated 29.06.2021 registered at Police Station Sadar Patti, District Tarn Taran, under Sections 452, 336, 506, 34 IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of the Arms Act and he has also prayed for directing respondents No.1 and 2 to get the investigation of the subject FIR conducted in a fair and impartial manner from some independent Investigating Agency, while averring that after the registration of the said FIR, he has been orally informed that respondents No.5 to 7 had moved some application to the higher police officials for conducting an inquiry, so as to prove their innocence.

Ms. Samina Dhir, learned Deputy Advocate General, Punjab, has joined the proceedings on behalf of respondents No.1 to 4 in this case, in pursuance of the copies of this petition having been sent to the respondent-State in advance and she, on the instructions from SI Gurtej Singh of Police Station Sadar Patti, District Tarn Taran, apprises the Court that no such application has been moved by the private respondents nor any inquiry is being conducted as alleged by the petitioner.
In view of the above-said submission of learned State counsel, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the instant petition.
Learned State counsel has no objection for the same. Accordingly, the petition in hand stands dismissed for having been withdrawn.
