1. Having heard the petitioner, who is present in person, and having perused the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 - The Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana to ensure that necessary investigation is conducted expeditiously preferably within a period of 6 months from today, so that a final report under Section 173 Cr.P.C. is submitted thereafter at the earliest.

2. It is further specifically directed that all necessary steps be taken to secure the presence of the accused, who are stated to be residing in some other States. Since securing the presence of accused, who are from some other States does take some time, it be ensured that there is no laxity or no time is wasted for doing the needful.

3. A copy of this order be conveyed to respondent No.2 - The Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana for necessary compliance.
