IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH CRWP-4401-2024 Date of Decision : May 14, 2024 SIMRAJEET KAUR AND ANOTHER -PETITIONERS V/S STATE OF HARYANA AND OTHERS -RESPONDENTS
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE KULDEEP TIWARI
Present:
Mr. Mohit Kakkar, Advocate for the petitioners.
Mr. Bhupender Singh, D.A.G., Haryana.
*** KULDEEP TIWARI, J. (ORAL) 1.
Through the instant petition, as filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the petitioners have sought issuance of directions upon the official respondents, to ensure protection of their lives and liberty at the hands of the private respondent.
2.
At the very outset, the learned State counsel, who is on advance notice, has placed on record the copy of vernacular statement, as suffered by the petitioner No.1, before the I/C P.P. Khairpur. A perusal of this statement reveals that, the petitioner No.1 has stated in unambiguous terms that she is living happily with the petitioner No.2 and does not perceive any threat perception at the hands of anybody.
3.
On the face of the statement (supra), neither there is any threat perception to the petitioners, nor the petitioners require any security cover at present. Therefore, neither the grievance of the petitioners survives any longer, nor any intervention by this Court is warranted. Consequently, the present petition is dismissed.
