Instant petition has been filed for directing the respondents to remove the existing pay anomalies and grant the statutory pay scales to the petitioner as mandated in the Punjab Educational (Teaching Cadre) Border Area Group C Service Rules, 2018 under the Department of School Education from the date of entry into service along with arrears and interest of 12% thereon in the light of the judgment of this Court dated 13.09.2024 (Annexure P-9) in CWP-15896 of 2023 - Saurabh Sharma and others v. State of Punjab and another. Further prayer has been made for directing the respondents to extend the benefit of notification dated 05.01.2026 (Annexure P-11), issued by Government of Punjab, Department of Finance.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for the redressal of her grievance, petitioner has moved representation dated 06.03.2026 (Annexure P-12) to the respondents, however, no action has RAVINDER SINGH 2026.04.20 18:11 I agree to specified portions of this document

Learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer for deciding the representation dated 06.03.2026 (Annexure P-12) and submits that at this stage, petitioner would be satisfied, if the said representation is considered and disposed of by passing a speaking order in a time-bound frame.

Mr. Swapan Shorey, DAG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents and has no objection to the innocuous prayer made by learned counsel for the petitioner.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have gone through the record of the case.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the claim being made by the petitioner in the present petition, respondent No.3 is directed to consider and decide the claim made by the petitioner in the representation dated 06.03.2026 (Annexure P-12) in accordance with law, by passing a speaking order within a period of three months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order. 7.

The petition stands disposed of.
