(ORAL) Petitioners seek direction to the respondent authorities to submit status report in a case arising out of FIR No. 25 dated 7.3.2009 under Sections 420/467/468/471/120-B IPC registered at Police Station Sultanwind, District Amritsar. Learned counsel for the petitioners, at the very outset, fairly states that petitioners have not approached the competent authority, i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Amristar-respondent No.2 before filing the present petition. He further submits that given an opportunity, petitioners shall approach the Senior Superintendent of Police, Amristar-respondent No.2 by moving an appropriate representation within a period of three weeks from today and he may be directed to take appropriate decision thereon, at an early date. Criminal Misc. M-8464 of 2015 Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, lest it should prejudice the rights of either of the parties, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Amristar-respondent No.2 is directed that if the petitioners approach him by moving an appropriate representation within a period of three weeks from today, he shall consider and decide the same at an early date by passing an appropriate order thereon, strictly in accordance with law, but in any case within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of representation from the petitioner.
