The petitioner through the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is seeking directions to respondents No. 1 to 3 to protect life and liberty of the petitioner as well as his family members at the hands of respondent No. 4.

Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner has lodged FIR No. 14 dated 07.03.2023, under Sections 376-DA, 506, 323 and 120-B IPC, at Police Station Rawalpindi, District Kapurthala, against respondent No. 4 and others. Respondent No. 4 is threatening the petitioner and police is not taking appropriate action.

The State is duty bound to protect life and liberty of its citizens. The petitioner has lodged FIR under Sections 376-DA, 506, 323 and 120-B IPC, against respondent No. 4 and others. The jurisdictional police authorities are directed to look into grievance of the petitioner and do the needful.
